This blouse began on a market stall at a flea market in Rome a round cotton tablecloth combining delicate pink cross stitch embroidery with lace, the kind of piece made with real patience and care. It travelled from Rome to a small studio in east Berlin, where it was cut and sewn by hand into this one of a kind blouse. Cross stitch embroidery has a handmade quality that is entirely its own each stitch
