Bloodwood Cabernet Franc 2022New oak maturation for six months and 12 months in tank prior to bottling. Inky purple in the glass and full of grungy cabernet franc aromas. Bilberry, ripe blueberries, plum and shiso leaf. Potting soil, crushed lead pencil and tar. Anise and juniper. The weight sits upfront in the middle palate, allowing the acidity to slide around the sides, carrying fine tannins and a sappy succulence. For those that love cabernet franc, I salute you its a wine

The palate is very alive

The bouquet impeccably follows the Nebbiolo playlist with a filigree of wild fruit layered into aniseed

The wines are aged for 16 months in French oak barrels (40-50% new oak and 50-60% one-wine barrels) which have been selected for their fine grain and moderate toast
